Caitlin Clark is still reliving the excitement of her unforgettable game-day experience with Taylor Swift. On January 18, the Indiana Fever star joined the "Cruel Summer" singer in the suites of Arrowhead Stadium, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs as they faced off against the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional playoff game.
And for the longtime Chiefs fan, the moment was magical. "I'm a huge Chiefs fan. I've been a huge Chiefs fan, and obviously Taylor is a huge Chiefs fan, too," the 23-year-old said on the "Swarmcast" podcast by 247Sports on January 28. "So, it was fun."
While it's no secret that Taylor is all in for No. 87, Clark was amazed by just how passionate the pop star is about the team. "Getting to share that, I was like, 'Oh my God, I love this,'" Caitlin gushed. "She loves the Chiefs as much as me. Like, this is incredible."
As the Chiefs fought for the win, Caitlin and Taylor were seen cheering, hugging, and celebrating every thrilling moment of the game. From the close halftime score to Travis Kelce's clutch touchdown, Clark couldn't have asked for a better experience.
"We had so much fun, and honestly, it was the perfect game," she explained. "The Chiefs won, it was close at halftime, Travis scores a huge touchdown for the Chiefs, we ended up winning. There was nothing crazy that happened, and we felt confident as it got to the end."
But beyond the action on the field, Clark was most struck by Taylor's warmth and kindness, proving that the megastar is just as down-to-earth as she appears.
"Taylor is very sweet and very kind, and it's just a good reminder that people in our position, we are very normal," Caitlin shared. "Sometimes our lives aren't normal, but we are very normal people, and we enjoy doing fun things, too."
That includes kicking back, watching sports, and soaking in every moment. "We enjoy watching sports and hanging out with our friends," she added. "It puts a great perspective of life and where you're at in your career."
Caitlin's trip to Arrowhead also showed that Taylor kept her promise. In December, the basketball phenom revealed that she had met Taylor and Travis after an "Eras Tour" stop in Indianapolis in November. Not only did Taylor shower her with merchandise, but she also left a note suggesting that Travis would love to have her at a game.
Clearly, the invite wasn't just lip service—and Clark had the time of her life.
