Ariana Grande is opening up about her latest achievement. The Hollywood star and fan-favorite actress is competing for the Best Supporting Actress award at the upcoming 97th Oscars ceremony. The 'Wicked' star is on the list of nominees with Monica Barbaro for 'A Complete Unknown,' Felicity Jones for 'The Brutalist,' Isabella Rossellini for 'Conclave' and Zoe Saldaña for 'Emilia Pérez.'
Ariana also reminisced on her childhood and admitted that she is proud of herself. "I'm humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny [Ariana] who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered," she explained.
"I'm so proud of you, tiny," she wrote in her post. "Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for this acknowledgment," she said sharing her appreciation for the Academy and thanking the director of the movie Jon M. Chu. "For taking this chance on me and for being the most [unbelievably] brilliant leader, human being, and most fierce friend."
Ariana mentioned her friend and co-star Cynthia Erivo. "I am so deeply proud of my beautiful Wicked family," she declared. "I am so proud of my Elphie, my sister, my dear [Cynthia Erivo]," she continued. "Your brilliance is never ending and you deserve every flower (tulip) in every garden. i love you unconditionally, always."
"I don’t quite have all my words yet, i’m still trying to breathe. but thank you. oh my goodness, thank you. Universal, Marc, my family, my heart," she concluded. "lemons and melons and pears, oh my."
Ariana's celebrity friends took to social media to congratulate her on her nomination. "Congratulations Ari!!!" John Legend wrote while Halle Bailey commented, "So deserved!!! so proud. "Congratulations beautiful!!! So proud to see this," Donatella Versace added.
