Peace and clarity seem far from reach for Daddy Yankee and his estranged wife, Mireddys González. The former couple, who have been in the process of separating since last year, found themselves in a heated legal battle at the San Juan, Puerto Rico, Court of First Instance. The tension escalated after the singer filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife and her sister, alleging unauthorized money transfers.

Judge Anthony Cuevas Ramos was forced to intervene as both parties' legal teams engaged in a series of increasingly heated accusations. The judge ordered both sides to "control their emotions and egos," threatening a $5,000 fine or disqualification from the case for non-compliance.

According to El Nuevo Día, the judge's order stated, "The attorneys for the parties shall refrain from filing further motions until the court has ruled on the pending motions. Any attorney who cannot control their emotions or ego and violates this order shall be required to pay a fine of $5,000." The order further warned, "This rule provides that a court may disqualify an attorney when the attorney engages in conduct that constitutes an obstruction of justice or that violates their duties to the court, their clients, or fellow attorneys. You have been warned."

Daddy Yankee has claimed his estranged wife Mireddys González withdrew a sum of $100 million from two of his music companies without his permission.

Wednesday's dispute arose when Yankee's attorneys filed a motion alleging that Carlos E. Díaz Olivo, Anabelle Torres Colberg, and Heileene Colberg Birriel, representing Mireddys and her sister Ayeicha, had engaged in personal attacks during the dispute over access to the companies Los Cangris Inc. and El Cartel Records Inc. The González Castellanos sisters' defense filed a motion the previous day requesting the appointment of a judicial administrator, arguing that there had been misrepresentations that had disturbed the peace of Mireddys and her sister.

The legal battle between the former couple's representatives comes nearly two months after the singer announced his separation from the mother of his children on social media. After more than 20 years together, Yankee wrote, "With a heart full of respect and honesty, I want to share some important news about my personal life. After more than two decades of marriage and after many months of trying to save our marriage, which my wife and I shared, today my lawyers are responding to the divorce petition received from Mireddys." The singer did not reveal the reasons for their separation at the time.
