Her arrival in Mexico was documented on her Instagram, which shows the incredible moment when dozens of fans greeted her at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport.

"We're in Mexico!" she says at the start of the video. "Finally... This is real now."

The video is set to Shakira's hit song "Soltera," and shows her joy at witnessing a large group of her fans cheering and holding up signs for her.

"Shakira, hermana, ya eres Mexicana!" chant her fans, which roughly translates to "Shakira, sister, you're now Mexican." The song and the excitement made Shakira laugh and sing along as she jumped with her fans and hugged the person who stood closest to her.

"I'M HERE!" Shakira captioned the post. "Eating jicama with chili and lemon and feeling right at home. I love you, Mexico."

What can fans expect from Shakira's tour?

Shakira's "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour" has been in development for the past couple of months. While fans will have to wait and see to know exactly what she does and the songs she performs, they can expect the biggest show she's ever put onstage.

"This is now the most important part of my life, my greatest achievement from all the tours I've done," said Shakira in an interview in Portuguese with the  Brazilian program "Domingão com Huck."

The production is of such caliber that Shakira and her team had to resettle in Mexico to be able to orchestrate everything and rehearse appropriately.

"It's a show with a gigantic production," she continued. "It's so big that we had to tour different stadiums and we couldn't find a location in Miami, where I live, where we could host the rehearsals. All of my personnel has had to travel to Mexico so we could build it there, because it's an incredibly large production. I'm so happy."
