In recent months, Majo Aguilar has been involved in some way in the media stir following the marriage of her cousin Angela Aguilar to Christian Nodal. The situation has resulted in comparisons on social media, where Pepe Aguilar, the singer's uncle, has also been attacked.
The singer addressed the situation in a video shared on TikTok, where she asked for respect for her family and confirmed that they are estranged at the moment. The daughter of Antonio Aguilar Jr. was honest with her followers and acknowledged that, despite not having communication with them, she has a very special appreciation for them, since they were a very important part of her upbringing.

"I want to talk to you from the bottom of my heart," she said during the video, addressing the situation. "I can no longer look the other way or as they say, turn a blind eye," she said about the many comments she has seen on social media. "I want to thank you for your love. However, one has to be consistent with what one feels and thinks. I have not had communication with my family for many months, it has been a couple of years since we had a relationship in which we frequent each other so much," she announced.

"That does not mean that my uncle Pepe and Angela, I am going to talk about them, because they are the people who are talked about the most, are not important in my life."
"I want to be consistent in conveying to them that, although I no longer have such a frequent relationship with them, I have an appreciation for them. For that love and for that coexistence that I did have during my adolescence, which was a vital part of me and of my development, which gave me so much love, simply for that reason, I cannot pretend that I do not look at the comments," she explained.

Majo assured that she has great memories with Pepe and Angela, so the love she feels for them remains intact: "At this moment I am feeling empathy for my uncle Pepe and Angela who, as I told you, although at this moment I do not have much communication with them, they were an important part and therefore they will be an important part of my life (...)
