Inauguration Day 2025

Kai Trump prepares for the Inauguration: "I have butterflies in my stomach"

Donald Trump’s granddaughter is one of his strongest supporters during the election campaign

With just hours to go before Donald Trump, 78, is sworn in for his second term as President of the United States, the former real estate mogul and political leader is set to celebrate surrounded by family and loved ones. His five children and ten grandchildren have been deeply involved in his campaign, but one of his strongest supporters has been his eldest granddaughter, Kai Trump, 17, who has become the breakout star of the Trump family.

Kai, a social media influencer with a following of over 900,000, hasn’t held back in sharing her excitement about the historic event. “I don’t usually get nervous about things like this, but the inauguration—I’m not nervous, just excited. I have butterflies in my stomach and can’t wait for it,” she said. However, she admitted to feeling slightly stressed about not having chosen her outfit for the big occasion yet.

Kai’s most recent public appearance was this past Sunday at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., where thousands gathered to celebrate Donald Trump’s victory and his imminent return to the White House.

Channeling her aunt Ivanka’s classic and elegant style, Kai wore a chic black mini-dress with pearl buttons down the front, paired with heeled booties and silver jewelry. Her beauty look was simple and natural, with her long, straight hair parted in the middle.

Who Is Kai Trump? Golfer, influencer, and dedicated student

Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr., the President’s eldest son, and Vanessa Trump, who separated in 2018. She has been passionate about golf since the age of four, a sport that has brought her numerous accolades over the years. Her love for the game strengthens her bond with her grandfather.

“He calls me when I’m in class to ask how my golf is going and to tell me stories about his own games. I usually have to remind him I’m in school and promise to call him back later,” Kai shared. In addition to her athletic talents, Kai is an excellent student and announced in August that she would be attending the prestigious University of Miami.

Kai is undoubtedly her grandfather’s pride and joy, and she has defended him passionately in public. “The media makes him seem like a completely different person, but he genuinely wants the best for this country,” she said in a speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last July, where Donald Trump was officially nominated as the party’s presidential candidate.

Through her social media platforms, Kai often shares personal insights into her family life, posting heartfelt messages and private photos highlighting her close relationship with her grandfather.
