This Friday, Ricardo Arjona releases his latest musical work, an album titled Seco. As a prelude to its launch, he gives fans a glimpse of the music video for its first single, Mujer, featuring his daughter, Adria Arjona, in the leading role. The audiovisual piece, directed by the Guatemalan artist himself, is rich in symbolism and emotion, filled with deep meaning, where Adria becomes the muse of her father.

My girl, my songs, my work, and my perspective were told through 12 stories. I don’t know where 'Seco' will go, but I know exactly where it came from. Thank you all for the warm reception of this project—everything went into it. The journey is just beginning.”
Adria also responded to her father, saying, “How lucky am I! Thank you, Dad. I love you.” In the video’s narration, Ricardo shared the challenges they faced in coordinating the recording, as Adria's busy schedule nearly made it impossible to complete the project.
“Adria was filming two movies and had been running on only three hours of sleep for months. One day, we listened to the song together, and she loved it. She read the lyrics several times, understanding how sensitive this topic is, especially in her industry,” the 60-year-old singer explained.
Ricardo’s story is deeply touching as he highlights his daughter's strengths and her dedication to helping him create this artistic work. “Her schedule was packed, and I needed the video ready for the album launch. Then, just weeks before the deadline, two days unexpectedly opened up for Adria. That’s when everything came together. She flew in with incredible discipline, landing in Mexico City at midnight, quickly fitting for wardrobe, and by 5 a.m., she was already on set. We wrapped at midnight the next day after a grueling shoot in the rain. Despite the challenges, she was thrilled with the result—and so was I.”
In the video, Adria begins with a slow, purposeful walk, observed by strangers. As the narrative unfolds, she removes layers of clothing, symbolizing the criticisms and judgments she endures. The scene shifts from snow to rain, with the gazes persisting, yet she continues forward with determination.
