Miss Universe 2024 Victoria Kjær Theilvig has been the center of speculation regarding her potential attendance at President-Elect Donald Trump's upcoming inauguration on January 20, 2025. The official Miss Universe Organization (MUO) social media account recently shared a video featuring iconic Washington, D.C. landmarks interspersed with clips of the Danish beauty queen. This has fueled rumors about her possible involvement in the event, though no official confirmation has been made.

Victoria's victory at the 73rd annual Miss Universe competition, held on November 16, 2024, in Mexico City, marked a historic moment for Denmark. The 23-year-old, a former European and World Champion dancer, triumphed over 125 contestants from around the globe, becoming the first Dane to claim the title and the first European winner in years. Her compelling advocacy for mental health awareness, animal protection, and legal empowerment has made her a beacon of hope and inspiration worldwide.

 Trump's Ties to Miss Universe

The speculation surrounding Victoria's attendance is particularly notable given Donald Trump's long-standing connection to the Miss Universe Organization. Trump co-owned the pageant from 1996 to 2015, leveraging the competition to expand his brand and global influence. Under his ownership, Miss Universe became a platform for showcasing glamour and diversity, but it also faced controversies.

In 2015, NBC and Univision severed ties with the Miss Universe Organization. Trump subsequently sold his stake in the pageant to WME/IMG (now Endeavor), ending nearly two decades of his involvement.

A New Era for Miss Universe

Under its 50/50 ownership (JKN Global Group and Legacy Holding Group), the MUO has emphasized inclusivity, advocacy, and empowerment, positioning the pageant as more than a beauty contest. Victoria Kjær Theilvig's reign reflects this shift, as her focus extends beyond aesthetics to championing meaningful causes.

 A Strategic Move or Coincidence?

The MUO's recent Washington, D.C.-themed video could be a nod to upcoming initiatives or appearances for Victoria's reign. While her presence at Trump's inauguration would undoubtedly draw attention, it may also spark debate.

 Victoria's Global Vision

As the reigning Miss Universe, Victoria has already signaled her intent to focus on international advocacy campaigns aligned with her passions. She embodies the pageant's modern vision of leadership and compassion, from supporting mental health initiatives to promoting animal welfare. Whether or not she attends Trump's inauguration, Victoria is poised to leave a lasting legacy that transcends politics and embraces a global audience.

Victoria previously told HOLA! that as a global ambassador for Miss Universe, what excites her most about traveling is "everything." She added, "I can't wait to travel worldwide, experience different cultures, and connect with local communities. I want to offer help wherever I can. While I know I can't change the entire world, I can make a difference in small ways. If I can help just one person, that will bring me much hope."
