In a new appearance in court, Daddy Yankee revealed that his relationship with his daughter Jessaelys has been impacted, even if he made it clear that he loves her unconditionally.

On January 14, Daddy Yankee and Mireddys returned to the court in San Juan to revisit the case involving the companies El Cartel Records and Los Cangris, which Daddy Yankee wants to control and were previously managed by Mireddys. Upon leaving the court, he answered some questions from the press.

Daddy Yankee shared why his son Jeremy didn't join him on this particular occasion. "He was going to come but I told him not to," he said in Spanish. "It's the first time. He insisted and wanted to but I told him he didn't have to."

He was also asked about his relationship with his daughter. "The relationship is a little damaged but she's my queen. I saw her coming in and I told her, 'God bless you, you're my queen.' She always will be," he said. "I know this is gonna bring us closer step by step. We're a family like all of them, there are ups and downs, but we're gonna get over this."

Daddy Yankee attended the court date accompanied by his lawyers, while Mireddys was accompanied by her daughter and her legal team. Upon her arrival, Mireddys addressed the media.

"I can't say much. What I can say is that in the right time I'll have the opportunity to talk from the other side of history and make many things clear," she said, per the Spanish news program Primera Hora.

Jessaelys speaks out

Jessaelys has addressed her parents' divorce on social media. "They haven't been happy days, nor the best Christmas," she said in a video shared on December 28. "Everyone is talking about things they don't understand as if they did. They only know a distorted version of things. These weeks have been all about learning."

Jessaelys made it clear that she was at peace. "I see the true color of people and what they're capable of doing. I know my heart and I know the truth. That allows me to sleep at night," she said, revealing no further details.
