Coco Gauff has fashion as one of her top priorities. The Floridian tennis player is currently participating in the Australian Open, where she's wowed the crowd with her results and stunning outfits.
© Getty ImagesHer most recent one is a body suit with cutouts inspired by superheroes. And while the look is amazing, there are some issues that occur when she needs to use the bathroom.
"This outfit, I'm a huge Marvel fan and a lot of the female superheroes have cool cutouts on their outfits, so that's what I wanted to do," she explained.
"It's actually kind of a pain to get into because it is a bodysuit, so I have to put the bottom part on first and pull it over my head, so it's kind of a struggle."
© Getty ImagesOne of her hacks is relying on other people for help. "I've had to ask a referee to help me lower the zipper to go to the bathroom. But hey, you have to sacrifice for fashion," she said, prompting a laugh from the audience.
She revealed that the design of her shoes also had some personal significance. “My shoes are inspired by basketball shoes, because that's the sport my dad wanted me to play, but I'm glad I chose tennis," she said.
Gauff is a big fan of fashion
Over the past couple of years, when Gauff's career has reached new levels of fame and success, she's revealed that she has a love and an interest in fashion, which she may capitalize on at some point in the future.
"That's something that I've been thinking about a lot," she said shortly after winning the US Open in 2023. "I really do love fashion. I love makeup. I love that type of thing. I just haven't really thought about how I would build that into a brand, per se."
In an interview with PEOPLE, she revealed that she planned her outfits for important occasions ahead of time.“My Grand Slam outfits are planned basically a year to two years, even maybe sometimes longer in advance,” she said.
