Katie Holmes is embracing the make-up free look. The actress and filmmaker recently attended a public event conducted to honor her friend and fellow cast mate Jim Parsons. She embraced her natural beauty and opted for wearing no make-up as she celebrated her friend and took photos with various people.
Earlier this week, Holmes attended an event to commemorate Parsons, the lead star of "Our Town."
She attended the event alongside the show's cast, with the celebration hosted at the restaurant Sardi's. As the group gathered to celebrate, a caricature of Parsons was unveiled and hung on the wall of the restaurant, which is populated by other portraits of notorious artists.
Holmes took various photos, including one alongside her castmates and another one where she and Parsons are happily holding on to each other. She opted for an understated look made up of black pants and a red button-up, which she rounded out with a beanie to shelter her head from the freezing cold in New York City.
"Our Town" is scheduled to conclude late this month, following various months of intense work, including multiple shows a week and through the holidays.
Holmes' joy over her involvement with Broadway
Katie Holmes has discussed how much she enjoys the theater and performing in front of a live audience. "It's so different than film and television," she said in an interview with FOX5.
"It's more like a sport. It's an hour and a half of focus. The process of film so much of it is made in the editing room. We have to stay present."
Throughout December, Holmes shared various posts on Instagram promoting her show and demonstrating how proud she was of being involved in the production.
"Saturday night on Broadway," she wrote in a post that featured a selfie of hers in the theater. "I am so very grateful to be a part of Our Town with this incredible group of actors during this holiday season. Thank you to our wonderful audiences for our two show day."
