Tensions are escalating as Daddy Yankee faces serious allegations from Mireddys González’s lawyer. The dispute between the artist and his former manager has captured widespread attention, centered on legal conflicts regarding the management of Daddy Yankee’s business ventures. The González sisters' lawyers argue they've already handed over all the requested information, insisting that the latest demand doesn't have any legal basis. On the other hand, Daddy Yankee's legal team is accusing the defendants of slowing down the process by submitting old, irrelevant documents, which they see as a stalling tactic—especially since the case involves the potential sale of his music catalog.

A key point in the conflict involves Daddy Yankee's legal team seeking a general representation letter that would allow him to take complete control of his companies, El Cartel Records and Los Cangris Inc., both created to support his music career.

The González sisters have strongly opposed this request, arguing that granting such authorization would not change the direction of the proceedings and that the documents requested by the artist’s attorneys provide no new evidence.

In response, the defendants have officially asked the court to dismiss the reggaeton star's lawsuit.

The San Juan Court of First Instance (Tribunal de Primera Instancia), led by Senior Judge Anthony Cuevas Ramos, has scheduled a hearing for Tuesday, January 14, at 10:00 a.m. Both parties will present arguments and evidence as the legal battle intensifies.

The hearing follows accusations from Daddy Yankee, who claims the González sisters have "recklessly released outdated materials" to divert the court's focus from core issues. His legal team, comprising Carlos Díaz Olivo, Heileene Colberg Birriel, and Anabelle Torres Colberg, argues that the sisters have filed "empty motions" and failed to comply with court orders requiring updated documentation on corporate management.

Daddy Yankee's attorneys assert that the provided materials pertain to legal matters from over a decade ago and lack relevant information about the current status of El Cartel Records and Los Cangris Inc. Despite the escalating tensions, the reggaeton star remains composed. "I am happy to resume the presidency. This is a process I have approached with much peace, tranquility, and composure," he remarked during the initial hearing.

Daddy Yankee, along with his wife Mireddys González and sister-in-law Ayeicha González, initially reached a legal agreement back in December 2024 concerning the lawsuits he filed in the San Juan Court about access to his companies, El Cartel Records and Los Cangris. This resolution was confirmed by their legal teams after Judge Anthony Cuevas Ramos called for a private meeting to help settle the matter. As part of the agreement, Daddy Yankee will take back the presidency of both companies, with the first meeting to make this official scheduled for December 26 at 11:00 a.m. Furthermore, $75 million will remain in both companies for 30 days, while any additional funds will be placed in escrow, requiring approval from both parties for transactions over $100,000.
