Lauren Sanchez shares emotional message about the LA fires; 'This city is resilient'

Lauren Sanchez is thinking about the victims affected by the Los Angeles fires. The journalist and pilot shared an emotional message on her Instagram stories, sharing her thoughts and prayers with those affected and thanking the first responders and firefighters for their bravery.

Sanchez shared the message on her Instagram stories, written over a photo of the view of the sunset in her location in Santa Barbara, a city located within Los Angeles County, a few miles away from the fire zone. 

"As the sun sets here in Santa Monica, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by these devastating fires across our city and beyond," reads her statement.

"It's heartbreaking to see so many people lose their homes, their memories, and their sense of safety."

"To the brave firefighters and first responders risking everything to protect others - thank you for your courage and sacrifice. You are the true heroes of this moment, and we are so deeply grateful. To everyone affected, please stay safe, hold your loved ones close, and know that this city is resilient."

The Los Angeles fires have caused an immense amount of devastation over the past few days. At least five fires have raged around the area, scorching homes and buildings and resulting in evacuation orders for around 179,000 people. 

The Pacific Palisades fires have impacted various notorious personalities, including Ben Affleck, Mark Hamill, Eiza Gonzalez, and more, who had to leave the area last minute to stay safe.

There are five fires raging in the Los Angeles area

Some celebrities have even lost their homes, including James Wood, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton, and more. 

"This photo was taken last night from our lovely little house in Palisades. Now all the fire alarms are going off at the same time. I must say, losing everything at once is a soul test," said Woods in an interview with CNN.

"We were evacuated with just the clothes on our backs."
