2025 might be the year of breakups. Just one day after news broke that Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber have split, TMZ reported that Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have separated, and are headed for a divorce. The couple shares three children, Honor, 16, Haven, 12, and Hayes, 7.
Alba and Warren seemed to be one of Hollywood's strongest couples, having been married for nearly 17 years. But it's not totally surprising - as with most celebrity breakups, there were some signs leading up to the news.
The Honey star has been spotted without her wedding ring for the last few weeks, most recently on January 6, while walking with a friend.
Alba also attended a pre-Golden Globes party Saturday at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood without her ring and husband.
She wasn't the only one ditching the ring. TMZ reports that Cash was spotted last week without the symbol of forever love.
The ringless debacle seems to go back to early December when Alba was seen dining in Rome, Italy, with Andrea Iervolino, an Italian producer working with her on her new film, Maserati: The Brother in Italy.
Another sign came in the form of social media - the producer was nowhere to be seen on her 2025 year-in-review Instagram post.
Is the couple still on good terms?
What's interesting is the couple was just on a family vacation together in Mexico for Thanksgiving, and the couple was photographed tanning together on the beach.
They also celebrated Christmas together as family, which Alba documented on Instagram.
Plus, last week, the businesswoman shared a family photo on Instagram of them at Universal Studios celebrating Hayes' 7th birthday.
So from what it seems like, things might be on good terms between the couple as they continue to co-parent.
The end of an era
The couple's relationship goes back decades. They met in 2004 on the set of Fantastic Four when he was a director's assistant on the film. They got engaged in 2007 and then said "I do" on May 19, 2008. This year would have been their 17th anniversary.
As noted by TMZ, it's not known if they signed up for a prenup. Alba is in a much different financial position than she was back then, launching a billion-dollar brand with The Honest Company.
