Prince Harry and Meghan Markle find support from close friends after Duchess's new venture

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's closest friends are sharing their excitement about her new project. Meghan is set to serve as host and executive producer for the new Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan,' and mixed comments have already surfaced online ahead of the premiere of the show on January 5.

The new project has caused many different reactions, but despite some of the negative comments, the pair have received the support of their friends. Abigail Spencer, who is a longtime friend of Meghan after working together in the 2011 series 'Suits,' congratulated her on the production.

"So elated for you," she wrote on social media. "Happy New Year & 20twentythrive indeed! How lucky are we to get a glimpse into your heart-song, magical-thoughtfulness & deliciously wonderful ways January 15th! Can't wait for all to fall in love with #WithLove Meghan," she added. "Thanks for having me over & being truly the most wonderful friend a gal could get. Joy & bubbles abound. Here to learn. I'll get the salt," she said with a wink.

Another of her close friends, Jamie Kern Lima, shared a sweet message. "Congrats @meghan on the announcement of your new show With Love, Meghan on @netflix it was so much fun to celebrate with you today!"

She continued. "I’m so excited for the world to experience even more of your joy, your heart, your kindness, your humor, your humility, your compassion, your many talents and your LOVE! You’re an incredible friend to so many, including me, and I’m excited to cheer you on as you continue to build, create magic and FLY!"

Harry's surf instructor Raimana Van Bastolaer had some words to say against the negative comments. "Don't hate, don't be mad, don't be jealous!! Be supportive for brother Harry," he wrote, while Harry's childhood friend Nacho Figueras and his wife, Delfina Blaquier showed their support.

"Congrats for the love and hard work you put into this project of yours. So grateful to be part of it – I can't wait to see all you have to share," Delfina wrote.

Meghan's friend Kelly McKee Zajfen took to social media to express her excitement. "Beyond excited for the world to see you and your magic!!! As I say, 'Come on!' It's just so good!!'  McKee Zajfen wrote. "You are the best hostess, mama, wife and best friend. Shine bright," she said, adding, "Stay tuned January 15th to see all the magic that is Meg."
