Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey are proud parents! The celebrity couple is celebrating a new milestone in their daughter's life. The pair share three kids; Levi, Vida, and Livingston, after being married for over a decade.
The Hollywood star and the model shared touching tributes for their daughter Vida, sharing photos of her childhood and getting emotional after seeing her grow up. "Vida. 15 years. Thanks for being my tech guru, so savvy, and for loving to grow things," Matthew shared on social media, adding the Portuguese word for "daddy," as his wife Camila is originally from Brazil.
"Yesterday this force of a girl turned 15! May you never forget that the first person to love is YOU…. Your name says it all…Vida!" Camila wrote in a different post. "We love you so much words can not express!"
Vida's brother, 16-year-old Levi, also shared a tribute for his sister. "Happy 15th birthday sis love you," Levi wrote, sharing a photo with her on Halloween.
The couple previously talked about their parenting journey. "Having children, I know, has made me a better artist and has made me a better actor, because kids see things for the first time all the time. Their questions are innocent," Matthew said to People in April 2024 when talking about his performance in the HBO series 'True Detective.'
"I cannot tell them what the show's really about, it's not age-appropriate. So I have to go into a parable for them. ... I had to become a better storyteller to tell my kids about a good guy, a bad guy and a monster," he said at the time.
"I've got a large hand in shepherding my three children up until they're 18 and out of the house," he said to the publication in 2019. "Yeah, see if I hold on to my words in a few years. That's the thing I think I do most honorably is having three autonomous, conscientious, confident children."
