MrBeast is celebrating a special milestone in his life! The notorious influencer, born James Donaldson, has gotten engaged to his girlfriend Thea Booysen, sharing photos and videos of the special moment.
MrBeast shared various photos and videos on his Instagram, showing him and Booysen at the moment of their engagement, with both wearing matching blue Christmas sweaters that read "MrBeast" and "Make the world a better place."
"Your boy did a thing," he captioned the post showing off various images from their engagement, including one where Booysen holds up her ring and shows it off to the camera, and another where the two are smiling and holding up their dogs.
The proposal took place on Christmas morning, in front of Booysen's family. "I saved the best gift for last. When you're ready you can look," he said, dropping down on one knee and holding up an engagement ring.
"I thought since your family is here this would be the perfect time to do it."
Booysen said yes and sat on his lap to kiss him, laughing as her family celebrated the special moment.
Booysen and MrBeast's wedding plans
In an interview with PEOPLE, the couple discussed their relationship and their plans for the future, which include a private wedding where they'll be with their closest friends and family.
"This will definitely be more family and friends — definitely more private," said MrBeast.
"I don’t take much vacation because of how hard I work, so I definitely want to make sure that the wedding will be a time to celebrate with her and spend time with friends and family who we really enjoy being with. It will be the ultimate way to take some time away and enjoy things."
Booysen revealed that the wedding will likely be a destination wedding where they can relax. "We're thinking of doing it somewhere on an island where we're far away from just about everybody," she said. "We're not going to try and have a big, extravagant wedding. It's going to be nice, but it's certainly going to be intimate."
MrBeast has a fortune valued at around $500 million and is one of the highest-paid content creators in the world.
