Elon Musk is accomplishing some end-of-the-year goals. The tech billionaire has shared a photo showing off his impressive weight loss journey, all while keeping things festive and wearing a Santa Claus outfit.

Musk shared the photo on his X account, showing him dressed up as Santa and posing in front of his Christmas tree, which is populated with gifts and located somewhere in his house.

He poses with a hand on his hip, looking happily at the camera.

"Ozempic Santa," he captioned the post. In the same thread, he revealed that his weight loss results weren't due to Ozempic but to Mounjaro, a similar drug.

"Technically, Mounjaro, but that doesn’t have the same ring to it," he wrote, adding a crying laughing emoji.

Musk explained why he chose Mounjaro for weight loss

Following his post, many of his followers sent follow-up questions, asking about the differences between Ozempic and Mounjaro and which one Musk considered better and more effective.

“High doses of Ozempic made me fart & burp like Barney from the Simpson’s," wrote Musk. “Mounjaro seems to have fewer side effects and be more effective.”

In the past, Musk has shared that he's not a fan of exercise and that he would avoid it if it were possible to stay healthy while living a sedentary lifestyle. He's shared that he practices intermittent fasting to stay fit and that he's used other weight loss drugs, like Wegovy.

Earlier this month, he revealed that weight loss drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro could be an answer for Americans struggling with obesity and that they should be made low-cost and accessible for all.

"Nothing would do more to improve the health, lifespan, and quality of life for Americans than making [GLP-1 drugs] super low cost to the public. Nothing else is even close," he wrote on X.
