Khloé Kardashian revealed that she missed her family's legendary Christmas Eve celebrations of 2024—a decision she called a first "in a long, long time." The reality TV star and Good American co-founder, 40, shared the heartfelt update on her Instagram Story, explaining that her absence was due to her children, True, 6, and Tatum, 2, being under the weather.
"Tatum was sick the entire weekend, and now my TuTu is sick," Khloé wrote, referring to her kids, whom she shares with ex-Tristan Thompson. For the first time in a long, long time, we will miss Christmas Eve 🥹."
Expressing her concern for her little ones, she continued, "I feel so terrible for my sick littles. No fun but I pray we are fine for Santa tomorrow!!! ❤️🎄💚.”
Rather than attending the family's usual star-studded and extravagant bash, Khloé opted for a quiet evening at home with her children. The family of three cozied up to watch the stop-motion Christmas classic "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."
A Different Kind of Kardashian Christmas
This year's Christmas Eve party may not have been the typical grand affair the Kardashians are known for. In December, Kim Kardashian, 44, revealed that the family planned a scaled-down celebration due to ongoing home construction projects.
"We're doing a really low-key Christmas Eve party this year," the SKIMS mogul shared. However, she made it clear that tradition would still play a role, saying, "We're dressing up to the nines because that's what we do."
Khloé, known for her love of family and tradition, may have found comfort in this year's more subdued gathering. Still, her absence marked a significant moment for a family renowned for its opulent holiday parties.
Looking Ahead to Christmas Morning
Despite the setback, Khloé was hopeful for a brighter Christmas morning. With Santa's arrival just hours away, she's crossed her fingers that her children will feel well enough to enjoy the day's magic.
The Kardashians are also known for their love of Christmas decorations. Ahead of Christmas, Khloé Kardashian brought the magic of the holidays inside her $17 million Hidden Hills mansion with a stunning tree and beautiful decorations. Her giant Christmas tree was surrounded by extravagant holiday decor that looked rich and luxurious. Her dining table looked spectacular, with simple but beautiful pine branch centerpieces adorned with shimmering lights.
She also showcased a personalized gingerbread house with her and her children's names and a sweet nod to their family cats, Grey Kitty and Baby Kitty.
The stunning piece looks from the same gingerbread house company she sent to Vanessa Bryant as a tribute to the Bryant family—Vanessa, Natalia, Capri, and Bianka—with a special nod to Kobe and Gianna Bryant, who tragically passed away in January 2020.
