Michael Bolton is sharing a Christmas update with his family. The beloved singer and songwriter shared late last year that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor right before the holidays. This December 25th, Bolton shared a photo with his wife and daughters wearing matching Christmas pajamas, with a message for his followers.
Bolton shared the statement on Facebook. The photo shows him wearing a Christmas undershirt, a black sweater, grey sweatpants, and a Santa Claus hat.
The rest of his family are also wearing Christmas clothes, with his three daughters wearing matching pajamas as they sit huddled on the corner of the sofa. Bolton's wife is sitting by Bolton's left-hand side and smiles brightly at the camera.
"Sending warm wishes for a holiday season filled with peace, love, and joy," wrote Bolton. "May the New Year bring health, happiness, and countless moments to cherish. Here's to fresh starts and beautiful moments in 2024!"
Michael Bolton's cancer journey
Early this year, Bolton shared that he underwent surgery for a brain tumor that was diagnosed right before the holidays.
"Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success," he wrote on Facebook. "I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family." He revealed that he was postponing his tour to recuperate.
"Know that I'm keeping your positive messages in my heart, and I'll give you more updates as soon as I can," he concluded.
Bolton was supposed to return to the stage this October, but he postponed the shows due to his recovery. “My progress is good and I have been able to get a little work done on a couple exciting projects that you’ll be hearing about very soon," he wrote.
His next performance is scheduled for July 2025, at the O2 in London.
