The Obama family loves to visit Hawaii for Christmas, which is where Barack Obama is from. Michelle, who recently opened up about her fears, quipped during the interview, "You know my husband grew up in Hawaii—one of the reasons why I married him. My in-laws, I was like, ‘Okay, is this where Christmas is going to be?’"

Barack and Michelle share Malia, 26, and Sasha Obama, 23, and their bond is undeniable, never missing a holiday together. "We do Thanksgiving with my family, but for Christmas, since the girls were little, we’ve been going to Hawaii," the 60-year-old explained. "His family is there, and now it’s his sister, my nieces, and a bunch of friends who’ve been joining us for years. We head to the island for a little sun," she explained.

Sharing some advice on how to pick the right partner, the author added, "That's why you got to pick your husband right ... he got a lot cuter when I found out he was from Hawaii, I was like, 'oh okay."

When Hudson asked who the hardest person to shop for is, she quickly said, "He is." "I mean, he just doesn't do much. He golfs, and there's only so many golf balls you can get a dude," she explained. "I already got the clubs - I can't get him another golf shirt. He's really hard, and he doesn't want anything."

Michelle said a nice letter would be enough for the former President, adding that he's "cheap." "I'm trying to get him clothes that he wouldn't buy, you know 'cause he's also cheap," she said.

She gave an example about a nice jacket, saying she tried to hide the price, which made Barack ask, "Why'd you spend this much on a jacket?" "I was like, 'That's what a gift is," Michelle continued.

While Barack is hard to shop for, Michelle still credits herself as the best gift giver because she is "actually paying attention to everyone" and listening. "I'm the one who organizes all the gift-giving. I make sure that all the kids we know are covered, I've got my list... I'm the one that makes Christmas happen," she said proudly.
