Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were once Hollywood's most famous couple. The pair shared their news of their separation in 2016, and have undergone one of the most public ruptures in recent memory.

Now, a Hollywood producer is offering them a blank check to get them back onscreen together.

Page Six reports that producer Danny Rossner has raised around $60 million to entice Jolie and Pitt to work together again. According to the producer, the film has been his passion project for the past 20 years and is inspired by a real-life story set in a hotel in Cannes.

Pitt and Jolie would have to play lovers once more.

“There is a love scene," explained Rossner. "It’s a torrid one, too. It’s not salacious but there are very heavy love scenes."

He revealed that if the actors were to agree with the project on the condition of not spending any time together on set, Rossner would make the necessary accommodations.

“Then [the scenes] would disappear," he said. "That is the beauty of having the right to adjust the screenplay. But they’re certainly important for character development.”

Pitt also premiered a movie this year titled "Wolfs"

Jolie and Pitt have avoided each other publicly

Over the past year, Pitt and Jolie have premiered films. He starred in "Wolfs" alongside George Clooney while she starred in "Maria."

The films coincidentally and awkwardly premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where organizers had to make sure the two didn't cross paths and that their films premiered on separate dates.

"Angelina will be on the first day, on Thursday, and she will leave right after," said Alberto Barbera, the festival's artistic director.

"Brad will arrive only on Saturday, in Venice. There is no way that they can cross each other at the Lido."

So while Rossner may be seduced by the idea of hosting the onscreen reunion of two of the biggest movie stars and former lovers, the odds of that occurring are very unlikely, no matter how much money they're offered.
