Selena Gomez wasn't expecting to discuss the future of her relationship on live TV. The actress, singer, and producer was one of the latest guests at "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," where she discussed her upcoming projects, her Thanksgiving, and her relationship with Benny Blanco.
As Gomez and Colbert were discussing her Thanksgiving dinner, he showed a photo of Gomez and Blanco hugging while sitting near the dinner table. "If you don't mind me asking, where is this relationship going?" asked Colbert, prompting a surprised response from Gomez.
"Wow!" she said, making the audience laugh. "I thought you were going to ask where was this picture taken!"
"You know what, I'm not sure but I'm having a great time."
Colbert then looked straight at the camera and addressed Blanco directly.
"Benny, you must think you're pretty special if you think you can do better than this, okay? he said, pointing towards Gomez and making her laugh. "And as America's dad, I want to know what your intentions are with America's daughter, right over there."
Gomez looked shocked but the two promptly moved on to discussing her relationship and the fact that Blanco cooks and is an amazing partner all around.

Gomez revealed that she and Blanco hosted around 50 people for Thanksgiving, which he cooked alone. "I tried to be the hostess," said Gomez. "And then watch him and encourage him."
The pair have been dating for over a year, and appear to be happy and in love, with both of them involved with each other's families. "This is the safest I’ve ever felt in one, and I see a future with this person," said Gomez in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
"There’s so much of my relationship people don’t see, that’s just mine."
