Donald Trump's granddaughter got the chance to experience something that not many 17-year-olds get to live through. Kai Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr and Vanessa Trump, accompanied her grandfather, Elon Musk, and many other notorious political figures in America at the launch of SpaceX's Starship.
Kai shared the video on her YouTube channel, which has over 500k subscribers. The vlog is called "Watching a Rocket Launch at SpaceX with Elon Musk!" and opens with her speaking straight at the camera.
"I've never seen something like that. And the noise when it was going up. Insane!" she said, wearing a black t-shirt and some jewelry as she's flanked by her granddad and some of his most trusted advisors at the SpaceX base.
"And I asked grandpa, 'Would you go in it?' and he goes 'No,'" she said with a laugh.
Kai arrived at the SpaceX base in Texas on Trump Force One, the private plane Trump owns and uses to move around all over the country. She was accompanied by one of her friends, as the two moved around the plane and showed viewers a look at its features, including some TV sets, a large bed, and plenty of couches for guests.
The pair then tried out some TikTok dances to pass the time and talked about their day.
Trump and Musk's miscommunication
After they arrive at the SpaceX base, Musk is seen with some sunglasses on, talking to Trump and other people as they patiently wait for the rocket to be launched.
Musk is seen explaining what's going on to Trump and Ted Cruz, the Texas senator. "It only comes back to land if everything is super green. And then we had some concerns about the tower so it was commanded to land out to sea," said Musk, revealing that the launch didn't go as planned.
"Amazing," said Trump as he nodded, misunderstanding the exchange.
