Alba shared the clips and the photos on Instagram, sharing with the world the "Spellbound" themed surprise for her son. The animated movie, now streaming on Netflix, is set in an enchanted land where a princess is trying to fix her parents after they're transformed into feral monsters.

Alba and her friend surprised the kids by collaborating with Netflix and having them bring "Spellbound" monster trucks with the faces of the film's characters.

"The most epic surprise ever!" Alba captioned the post.

"Between the screams and the smiles, it’s safe to say these Spellbound monster trucks just made Hayes and Kaliq’s entire year. Thank you @netflix for the surprise. Go stream Spellbound if you haven’t already!"

Photos and videos showed the boys screaming the moment they saw the monster trucks, unable to believe their eyes. "Are they real?" asked Hayes' friend Kaliq, prompting agreement from the adults. "Can we drive them?"

"I think you need a driver's license," said someone onscreen, offering instead the opportunity for the boys to touch the trucks and interact with them.

Alba's funny stories regarding her kids

Alba often talks about her family and their dynamics, revealing that two of her three kids are now teens, a stage that represents a marked change from childhood.

“I think it’s easier to get them to be into you when they’re younger," said Alba in the podcast The Talk. "But I have two teenagers. And they’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, that looks like such a mom thing to wear.’ Or, ‘That’s such a mom answer.'"

Despite her daughters' penchant to criticize, they have made some important contributions to Alba's wardrobe. "And they tell us…remember, they were like, ‘No more tight jeans. You need to wear the wider-leg jeans.’ And it took us a minute,” said Alba.
