It seems Jennifer Garner wants nothing to do with the controversy caused by Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's divorce, following reports about the Christmas and Thanksgiving plans of their blended family, which could indicate that Garner would be spending the holidays with the former couple.
While nothing has been confirmed, it was reported that JLo is hosting a dinner and wants her twins to spend time with Affleck and Garner's kids, as they are very close friends. However, a source revealed to the Daily Mail that Garner "no longer wishes" to be involved in the drama and wants no contact with Lopez.
"Her friends feel she shouldn’t have allowed herself to get so involved in helping JLo to fix her marriage to Ben," the source said, as she found herself "playing mediator" during the separation and divorce. "Jen no longer wishes to have communication with JLo unless it has to do with the kids," the insider said to the publication.
"Especially considering Jen felt pitted against JLo at times during their own marriage. Jen is too nice and truly wanted to help, so she tried," the source added. The report comes weeks after it was said that Garner found it "odd" that her daughter Violet was spending time with Lopez's sister Lynda.
"JLo getting close to Violet felt odd to Jen and then Lynda popping up at Violet’s school," the insider said. "Jen’s loyalty is to the father of her kids - Ben - and their children. Because they love JLo. But Jen would never badmouth her or speak negatively about her."
"Everyone knows that if JLo wanted to spend time with her children aside from Violet, it would have to go through Jen," the source stated. This comes after it was reported that JLo has no problem being involved in the same activities as Affleck, in regards to the blended family they built while they were together.
