Shiloh Jolie, the 18-year-old daughter of Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, was recently spotted during a leisurely afternoon in Los Angeles. With a carefree demeanor, she was sharing a moment with a close friend. The friend perched atop a parked car, enjoying each other's company while having an outdoor lunch.
Dressed casually in a hoodie and sweatpants, Shiloh patiently waited as her friend playfully touched her face. The two were deep in conversation while using a car as their dining spot.
Shiloh Jolie drops her dad, Brad Pitt's last name
Shiloh is no longer a Pitt! According to TMZ, the 18-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has legally dropped his famous last name. Shiloh began making legal requests three days after her 18th birthday. After placing an ad in the newspaper announcing her intent to change her name, a judge granted her request with no formal hearing.
Zahara Jolie was the first of the kids to do it. In November 2023, she debuted as an Alpha Kappa Alpha member and introduced herself during the induction ceremony, shouting, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie!”
Recently, Jolie and Pitt's 15-year-old daughter Vivienne, who worked as Angelina’s assistant for The Outsiders, was listed on the Playbill as just “Vivienne Jolie.” The former couple also share Knox, 15, Maddox, 22, and Pax, 20.
The specifics of Pax's relationship with his father remain unclear. Still, reports suggest that he has not communicated with Brad since the widely publicized altercation on a private plane a few years ago, which reportedly strained their relationship significantly. Recently, Pax was hospitalized due to injuries sustained in an e-bike accident, leading to renewed discussions about his well-being. Following the incident, sources indicated that Brad was deeply troubled about Pax's condition and expressed significant concern for his recovery.
Why Shiloh Jolie-Pitt decided to drop her father's surname
After Shiloh's request to change her name appeared in The Los Angeles Times, her lawyer told Page Six that Shiloh had made a legal notice regarding the change since California law requires it. “Shiloh Jolie did not take out an ‘ad’ announcing any name change, and any press reporting that is inaccurate,” said Peter Levine, adding that Shiloh “made an independent and significant decision following painful events.”
“As Shiloh’s attorney, I am required to publish a legal notice because the law in California requires that of anyone who wants to change their name. That legal notice was published in the Los Angeles Times, as is required," he concluded.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been embroiled in a complex and protracted divorce process for nearly eight years, marked by intense legal disputes over various issues, particularly the ownership of their winery, Chateau Miraval. This picturesque estate in the South of France has become a focal point in their separation, with each party's legal teams vigorously asserting their claims over the property.
