Angelina Jolie brought a rare guest to the 2024 Governor's Awards. Jolie was joined on the red carpet by her 16-year-old son Knox, with the two smiling for the cameras and taking various photos together.
Jolie opted for gold on the occasion, wearing a stunning floor-length gown. She styled her hair in a half bun and accessorized the look with some rings, a silver necklace studded with diamonds, and dangling earrings.
In the case of Knox, who's at times photographed carrying groceries with his mom in Los Angeles, he wore a traditional black tux for the occasion, which he paired with a white button-up and a black bow tie.
He showed off his buzzcut haircut and looked similar to his father, Brad Pitt.
The occasion marked Knox's first red carpet appearance in three years, with him accompanying his mother at the premiere of "The Eternals," in 2021.
At the time, Knox and Jolie were accompanied by the rest of their family, including Maddox, 23, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and Vivienne, 16, who all looked happy to be supporting their mother and to step out together for a prestigious event.
More details about the Jolie-Pitt family
In recent years, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been regularly featured on the news due to their dragged-on divorce proceedings. While the two have been living separate lives for years, their legal teams are still battling the ownership of their winery Chateau Miraval.
Through it all, the children have seemed to have taken the side of Jolie, often photographed with her accompanying her to various events and opting to drop the last name "Pitt" from their legal names.
“In the past few years, she’s been able to create a life for herself and the kids that make them all happy," said a source to PEOPLE. "It was a struggle for a while, but Angie is proud of how resilient and strong the kids are."
