Hollywood A-listers gathered on Saturday, November 4, as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) rolled out the red carpet for its annual Art + Film Gala. This year’s event, co-chaired by the legendary Leonardo DiCaprio, LACMA trustee Eva Chow, Gucci Creative Director Sabato De Sarno, and Gucci President and CEO Jean-François Palus, proved to be a dazzling affair, even amid the backdrop of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
The night showcased a glittering array of celebrities, Oscar winners, and cultural icons, making it one of the last most star-studded gatherings in Hollywood of the year.
Star-studded gatherings
Gucci, the event sponsor, presented its Ancora Notte collection, the debut eveningwear collection designed by the talented Sabato De Sarno. The gala marked De Sarno’s inaugural foray into formal menswear, and the collection received rave reviews from attendees.
The guest list for the 2023 LACMA Art + Film Gala read like a who’s who of Hollywood and the entertainment industry. The co-chair, Leonardo DiCaprio, was joined by luminaries such as Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, Ben Affleck, Kim Kardashian, Keanu Reeves, Andrew Garfield, Jessica Chastain, Lee Jung-Jae, Ava DuVernay, Jodie Comer, Lupita Nyong’o, Ke Huy Quan, Celine Song, Laura Harrier, Colman Domingo, Quinta Brunson, Heidi Klum, and Paris Hilton, among others.
The evening was made even more unforgettable by the musical guest, the ever-so-charismatic Lenny Kravitz. Jennifer Lopez had the honor of introducing Kravitz, and he left the audience electrified with a thrilling performance that had everyone on their feet.
But beyond the glitz and glamour, it was heartening to see a strong representation of the Latino community at the gala. Stars like Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria, and Pedro Pascal graced the event in their finest ensembles.
These individuals, all celebrated in their own right, showcased the diverse and multifaceted talent the Latino community brings to the entertainment world.
The LACMA Art + Film Gala has long symbolized the deep connection between the art, fashion, and film industries. It serves as a platform to celebrate and recognize the contributions of artists, filmmakers, and designers who have made a lasting impact on our cultural landscape.
