Hilary Duff played Olivia Kate Burke, an NYC student, and star of teen romance movies. She was a recurring character in the third season, having a short-lived romance with Dan Humphrey.

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner made a cameo in a 2010 episode of Gossip Girl, which aired on their anniversary. She later reflected on the episode saying they had so much fun filming together, but was “not sure if you could characterize their cameo as acting, per se.”

Vera Wang appeared on the show making a cameo as herself on the 100th episode of Gossip Girl in 2012. Blair and Dan visited Wang’s boutique on Madison Avenue for the wedding dress fitting, and the designer comes to assist them, helping her find the perfect gown.

Tim Gunn appeared on the show after establishing himself with Project Runway. He made his debut in episode 6 of season 4, as Jenny’s mentor and fashion consultant. He later blasted Taylor Momsen in an interview saying, “She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself ‘Why are we all being held hostage by this brat?”
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga performed “Bad Romance” during season 3 in an NYU Tisch retelling of Snow White. The singer told MTV in 2009 of her cameo,“First of all, my sister’s a huge fan, and she’s 17 years old.“ “So when I called her and said ‘Gossip Girl wants to put my whole new album on the show and have me perform, she was like ‘Oh my God, you have to do it. It’s an amazing show.’ And I’d seen it. It’s a great show.”
