The 95th Academy Awards are finally here. The event, which airs this Sunday at 8 PM ET, will deliver the most prestigious awards to Hollywood. While the Academy Awards are the biggest night for the film industry, they’re also a huge night for fashion. Through the years, stars partner up with the world’s leading designers, coming up with looks that endure many years later.

In 2002, Halle Berry became the first and only Black woman to win an Oscar for leading actress. She wore and Elie Saab floral gown that remains incredible years later.
That same year, Angelina Jolie broke headlines with her black dress, which had a slit in it that later was called “The Angie Leg.” The dress was Versace.
Lupita Nyong’o became an overnight star and fashion icon, with her outfits always marking a significant beat on the red carpet. In 2014, the actress won her first Oscar for “12 Years a Slave” and wore a Prada gown that was dubbed “Nairobi blue” in honor of the place she grew up in.
In 2016, Lady Gaga wore a jumpsuit at the Oscars, something that remains incredibly uncommon and worth celebrating. The jumpsuit was designed by Brandon Maxwell.
