Rebelde shocked fans earlier this week when they announced they are reuniting in 2023. The group reunited for a live concert in 2020, but fans are hoping for a tour announcement, which would be the first since the Mexican pop group’s farewell tour 15 years ago.
Fans knew something was up when, Anahí, Dulce María, Christian Chávez, Christopher von Uckermann, and Maite Perinea made their profile picture of the RBD logo. Alfonso Herrera was the only member that didn’t follow suit. On Monday, they shared a video showing clips from the iconic show and their recent reunion. The Soy Rebelde website has a countdown for January 19, 2023.

Anahí
Anahí continued to act and release music after the group split. She released Mi Delirio in 2009, and Inesperado in 2016. As an actress, she was the lead in Dos Hogares in 2011. Anahi’s life in entertainment slowed down after she married Manuel Velasco Coello, who was the Governor of Chiapas from (2012-2018). They have two sons: Manuel, 5, and Emiliano, 2. She has a huge following, with 10.6 million followers on Instagram, and in June, she joined Karol G onstage in Mexico City for a rendition of RBD’s “Sálvame.”
Dulce María
Dulce Maria stayed true to her love of music, and released four solo albums after the split, Extranjera - Segunda Parte (2011), Sin Fronteras (2014), DM (2017), and Origen (2021). She has won several awards and proved to be one of the most successful members. In 2013, she returned to telenovelas with Mentor Para Vivire and starred in Papis muy Padres in 2018. She is very influential online, with 10.7 million followers on Instagram and 7.1 million on Twitter. She’s married to Paco Alvarez and they welcomed their first child María Paula was born on 27 November 2020.
Christian Chavez
Christian Chavez launched his career as a solo artist, releasing his first studio album Almas Transparentes in 2010. He continued to release music but had personal troubles for years, including arrests, a suicide attempt, and domestic violence allegations. However, he recently made a comeback, starring in telenovelas, Netflix Series’, and most recently, La Suerte de Lolo, in 2021.
Christopher von Uckermann
Christopher von Uckermann released his first album, Somos, in 2010, and two EPs, La Revolución de Los Ciegos in 2017 and Sutil Universo in 2020. He starred in the series Kadabra, which aired from 2012-2015, and in 2018 he starred in the Mexican television web series Diablero.
Maite Perroni
Maite Perroni released her first solo album Eclipse de Luna in 2013. Her most recent release was the single, Adictab in 2016. She mainly focused on acting, and had success as a working actor from 2010 to 2017 in shows like Triunfo del Amor, and Papa a Toda Madre. She also has an overall deal with Pantaya as of 2021.
Alfonso Herrera
Alfonso “Poncho” Herrera is the only member of RBD that left music, and as of now, is not a part of the reunion. He’s had a very successful acting career, starring in El Equipo, El Diez, El Enact del Aguila (2011), Perfect Dictatorship (2014), The Chosen (2016), How to Survive Being Single (2020), and more. The private artist shares two children, Daniel and Nicolás, with his ex-wife Diana Vázquez.
