As the daughter of a president that’s adored by many, Sasha Obama occupies a strange place in culture, with the public invested in her growth and change. It’s something that can’t have been easy for a young woman.

Recently, Sasha has become a fashion icon, developing a very marked sense of style that’s usually spotlighted on her way to classes, boasting relaxed looks with a casual limited edition accessory thrown in the mix. Scroll down to have a look at some of our favorite looks of hers this year:

Sasha is known for her informal yet eye-catching style, which is highlighted in this outfit, made out of a long coat with fleece, a purple crop top and light colored pants. Topping it all off is a cross-body Paul Frank bag and some high top sneakers.

Another favorite outfit of ours is this 90’s inspired look made out of some overalls, a white shirt and a colorful sweater. Making everything more clashing is her choice of handbag, a tote with colorful patterns, and her limited edition Nike sneakers, which are a collaboration with Ben & Jerry that is no longer available.

While the boots are not a favorite, the outfit works well due to the contrast between the black dress and the Telfar handbag, which is one of the most coveted fashion items of the year.

Sasha was recently seen at the University of Southern California while wearing a cream-colored top, some jeans, and some very cool flats with yellow wrappings.

While this is one of her most eclectic outfits, it’s still fun and super cool, and shows her willingness to try out different styles and colors in one look. She wears a white top with a heart on it, a skirt with patches and prints and some flip flops.
