While she is still on the road to becoming a real lawyer, she isn’t the only celebrity that had similar aspirations. The legal experts at BPP University Law School compiled a list of celebrities with law degrees that might surprise you. ‘Parks and Recreation‘ star Rashida Jones earned her law degree from the prestigious Harvard University. Despite being extremely passionate about the subject, Jones revealed that the high-profile O.J Simpson court case put her off pursuing a career in legal practices. A few years later she made her on-screen debut in 1997 with ‘The Last Don.’

Gerard Butler

Scottish Hollywood hunk Gerard Butler has beauty and brains. He received his qualification from the University of Glasgow but was kicked off his placement at an Edinburgh-based law firm. While he was probably bummed at the time, he went on to become an A-list actor, first starring in the 1998 sensation ‘The Young Person’s Guide to Becoming a Rock Star’ a few years after getting the boot.

Jerry Springer is known for his renowned talk show that typically involves physical brawls, pole dancing, food fights, and general debauchery but the TV star got his law degree at Northwestern University. He was even made mayor of Cincinnati in 1977 and played a part in Robert F. Kennedy’s presidential campaign.
