While there hasn’t been much drama surrounding this, several celebrities have recently said that people have mispronounced their names. To know which names we might be mispronouncing all this time, the team at Preply has done some digging and compiled a surprising list.

In her TikTok debut, Lindsay Lohan got fans questioning everything when she revealed that people had been pronouncing her surname wrong. Lindsay corrected fans by introducing herself on the platform by saying her last name is pronounced ‘Lo-wen’ instead of ‘Lo-han.’ Fans were quick to react, commenting, “Wait. Lindsay, “LOWEN”?!?! I’ve been saying it wrong my whole life?!?”

In a YouTube video, the Euphoria actress expressed that her name is commonly mispronounced as ‘Zen-dye-uh’ when the correct pronunciation is ‘Zen-day-yuh.’

The Call By Your Name star wants fans to call him by his actual name. Speaking in an interview with Frank Ocean, the 26-year-old heartthrob revealed that the actual pronunciation of his name is ‘Timo-tay Shala-may.’ He, however, said: “I can’t ask people to call me that; it just seems really pretentious” - but the king has spoken!

Mamma Mia! The world has been saying Amanda Seyfried’s name wrong all this time. In an interview with Hollywood Streams, the 36-year-old actress said the worst pronunciation of her last name would be ‘Say-fried’ or ‘Sig-freed’; instead, the correct pronunciation is actually ‘Sigh-frid.’
