After Kylie Jenner revealed that she and boyfriend Travis Scott have decided to change their new baby’s name, fans share on social media their bets on what the new name might be.

Originally named “Wolf,” the celebrity couple’s second child was born last month but is now set to undergo a name change since his mother is getting to know him better and doesn’t think it suits him.

From Stormi to Chicago, it’s safe to say that the Kardashians and Jenners can be very adventurous when naming their children. This begs the question — what do all these names mean, and where did they come from? The research team at Preply has done some digging and found out.

Mason Dash Disick

In a 2010 interview with MTV, mother Kourtney Kardashian admitted that Mason was the only baby name she liked when she began looking at names for her firstborn. She claims to have been told by her aunt that Mason means the same thing in English as Kardashian means in Armenian, which is “stone worker.” She also said that her great-uncle used the name Mason when making dinner reservations, as Kardashian was too long. As for Mason’s middle name, Dash, this was known to be Robert Kardashian’s nickname.

Penelope Scotland Disick

Even though Penelope is a classic Greek Name meaning “weaver,” it has been revealed that parents Kourtney and Scott Disick simply picked the name because it had a cute ring to it. The one and only Kris Jenner suggested Penelope’s middle name Scotland, and it just seemed like the perfect fit — although it’s still unclear how much the Kardashians enjoy a bit of shortbread.

North West

Introducing a Kardashian name that sparked a whole lot of media attention and debate. Initially, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had no intention of naming their first child “North,” but certain stars came forward and expressed admiration for the name. At first, Pharrell approached the couple to say he thought that the name North was cool. Then, Anna Wintour told the couple that North is a “genius name.” The queen spoke, and the name just stuck.

Reign Aston Disick

A royal name, and one that went to Kourtney and Scott’s third-born. Kourtney revealed that this name has always been on her list — but the star originally spelled it like “Rain.” When Reign was born, giving him the regal-sounding title made sense; some even claim that Scott had something to do with the name, as the 38-year-old refers to himself as “Lord Disick.”

Saint West

Now, this is a Kardashian name that is bursting with sentimental value. According to sources from E!, Kim and Kanye decided to name their second-born Saint due to Kim undergoing a complicated pregnancy. When Saint was born, he was such a “blessing” to the couple.

Kanye and Kim were back on the map with the naming of their third-born child. Like North, it was safe to say that people had questions about Chicago’s unique name when they found out. Psalm West

Shortly after the birth of Kim and Kanye’s fourth child, Kris Jenner shared some insight about the inspiration behind her grandson’s name.
