When it comes to wedding proposals, tradition is that the male partner is usually the one to get down on one knee to pop the question. However, nowadays women are changing the proposal game and asking the questions themselves.

Jenna Bush Hager and Henry Hager
After only three months of dating, Bush Hager asked her now husband to marry her. Since they were young, Hager turned down her request and ended up popping the question to her a few years later.

Furstenberg turned down several proposals from Diller before one day seeing an older couple made them realize they both wanted it and the designer said to Diller she would marry him for his birthday.
