As the times change, women’s roles in whether the workplace or romantic relationships are certainly evolving. When it comes to wedding proposals, tradition is that the male partner is usually the one to get down on one knee to pop the question. However, nowadays women are changing the proposal game and asking the questions themselves.
To feel empowered, here are some famous females who decided to flip the script and propose to their partners instead of waiting for it to be done.

Jackson recently revealed to Jimmy Fallon that Smith was the one who popped the question. “She asked me on New Year‘s Eve. We’re in Nicaragua, it’s very beautiful, incredibly romantic, we’re walking down the beach and she asked me to marry her,” he recalled.

After only three months of dating, Bush Hager asked her now husband to marry her. Since they were young, Hager turned down her request and ended up popping the question to her a few years later.

Furstenberg turned down several proposals from Diller before one day seeing an older couple made them realize they both wanted it and the designer said to Diller she would marry him for his birthday.

Being the strong woman she is, Judy proposed to Jerry. “I said to him, ‘Where is this relationship going?’ And he tried to weasel out of it, with his, ‘Well, you know, why do we have to get married?’ Whatever. He finally capitulated. I told him to pick a date. He picked Flag Day,” she said in an interview with DuJour.
