After her high-profile divorce from Luis Fonsi, Adamari López focused on moving forward and growing professionally and spiritually. In 2011, she entered Univision‘s ‘Mira Quien Baila’ dance competition and met Spanish choreographer Toni Costa on the floor.

Their friendly relationship was transformed into a couple and on the dance floor, the chemistry was noticeable. The couple no longer hid their love and in each of their participations it was more than evident how in love they were. In fact, it was with a tango that the love affair between them occurred.

In a recent interview, Adamari confessed that she ignored what they will say when she started with Toni, who is 13 years younger than her. “It didn’t matter what people said, I let myself be carried away, I just let myself be carried away by what I felt. In Toni Costa, Adamari found one of his greatest strengths in the hardest moments. In 2012, just when they were beginning their relationship, the presenter lost her mother, who died of cancer. Three years later, shortly before giving birth to her daughter with Toni, Adamari suffered another irreparable loss; her father, Don Luis López, passed away in February 2015.

In September 2014, Adamari announced that she was expecting her first daughter with Toni. Through a press release, the Puerto Rican shared her happiness: “I have asked God so much for the blessing of being a mother and, since God‘s timing is perfect, I want to let you know that this blessing has come to me and I am pregnant.” .

It was on March 4, 2015 when Adamari and Toni became parents to Alaïa. The couple were happy for the arrival of their first daughter, who is a blessing to both of them.

In 2018, Adamari was seriously ill with influenza, which led to her being hospitalized for nearly a month. After being discharged, Adamari and Toni reengaged and resumed their wedding plans.

For more than a year, Adamari and Toni were postponing their wedding plans. Sometimes it was because of work, others because of her daughter‘s activities, and later, because of the pandemic. But in the end, they decided to go separate ways. It was May 27, when Adamari revealed that she had made the decision to end the relationship from Toni Costa.
