Jennifer Lopez is still trying to heal from her recent split from Alex Rodriguez and she is doing so by leaning on a famous ex of hers. Although Lopez has been throwing herself into her work as she’s filming the movie, ‘Shotgun Wedding’ in the Dominican Republic with Josh Duhamel and Lenny Kravitz , she’s also looking for some support from ex, Marc Anthony .
© GettyImagesSince splitting back in 2011, Lopez and Anthony have had a close relationship, especially considering they have their twins together. “Jennifer and Marc have a great relationship. Having him around while she has had to work abroad has been very comforting,” a source told People magazine.
“Jennifer is doing well. She is still filming in the Dominican Republic. The kids have visited her and they make her the happiest,” the source added.
It’s been unknown why exactly the 51-year-old and the former MLB player split up but according to rumors, Lopez did not trust Rodriguez.
“J.Lo was always aware of the rumors of him cheating or him messaging other girls. You can say that for sure [that] played a part in why the engagement ended,‘ the source also said. “She wants someone who’s fully invested in her and someone she can trust when her partner is not around.”
Reportedly, the pandemic also took a toll on the couple’s relationship. “They both liked spending more time together as a family, but it was difficult to keep that special spark when they saw each other every day,“ another source said to People.
