John Travolta is remembering his wife Kelly Preston on what would have been her 58th birthday. The Grease star, 66, paid tribute to his wife on Tuesday, Oct. 13, with a vintage photo from their wedding. “Happy Birthday hon! I found this photo of my mom and dad’s wedding. It was nice to see ours alongside theirs. All my love, John,” he sweetly captioned the post.
Kelly died on July 12 after privately battling breast cancer for two years. John announced his wife’s death on July 13 writing, “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side.”
He added, “Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. All my love, JT.”
John and Kelly, who tied the knot in 1991, shared three children together, son Benjamin, nine, daughter Ella Bleu, 20, and son Jett, who tragically died in 2009 at age 16.
Over a month after the Jerry Maguire actress’ passing, the Hollywood star broke his silence on Instagram with a video of him and Ella dancing. Alongside the clip, John penned: “My daughter @ella.travolta and I dancing in memory of momma. One of Kelly’s favorite things, dancing with me.”
