Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef form one of the most solid couples in the entertainment industry, and although they tend to be discreet with their private lives, in El Break de las 7 (Univision) with Chiquinquirá Delgado, the Puerto Rican singer opened up about some of the complications he and his husband have faced. Although the singer and the artist seem to lead a perfect life throughout their four-year relationship, just like any other marriage, they have also encountered some difficulties.
Ricky and Jwan have a beautiful family with twins Matteo and Valentino, 11, and little Lucia and Renn, who came into their lives in 2018 and 2019. With a house full of children, joy abounds, but so do certain complications.
Speaking to ‘Chiqui’ Delgado, Ricky opened his heart like never before and spoke of the things that made their relationship, which began in 2016, to become a little shaky.

On December 31, 2018, Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef shared they had become parents to a little girl, whom they named Lucia. The baby‘s arrival occurred within the last days of 2018, close to Ricky’s birthday, December 24.
“We are excited to announce that we have become parents to a beautiful and healthy girl whom we have named Lucía Martin-Yosef. This has undoubtedly been a unique birthday and Christmas celebration in our lives. Since then, the baby, whom Ricky calls ‘The light of my eyes,’ became the darling of his home, but this brought about some consequences that impacted his relationship with Jwan – because, like Ricky, he also wanted to take care of her.

The La Mordidita singer told ‘Chiqui’ Delgado that after Lucia’s birth in 2018, he completely transformed: “I had problems with my husband,” he acknowledged. Apparently, the Puerto Rican singer did not want anyone or anything to disturb his baby.

Laughing and feeling slightly embarrassed, Ricky admitted that it was a long time before someone other than him could approach his baby. “I didn‘t let anyone touch her for months.”

In his conversation with ‘Chiqui,’ the singer added that the most important women in his life are the perfect mother figures for his children. “It is very different, two parents, with two boys and the maternal figures I have are here, my mother is here, my sister, my friends.”

As Ricky commented, luckily, he and Jwan have many people around them who help them with the care of the youngest of their family. Like his mother, Doña Nereida Morales, who cares for her grandchildren, especially Lucia and Renn, who are respectively two years and eight months old.
