Fans of Netflix’sMoney Heist (Casa De Papel) will be excited to learn of a new series by Álex Pina, the creator of the Spanish series in co-production with Left Bank Pictures, the team behind The Crown. Set on the Spanish island of Ibiza, it tells the story of a woman called Zoe whose brother is found dead 20 years after he went missing on the island. She travels to Ibiza in a bid to find out what happened. With most people’s travel plans on hold this summer, this series is the perfect dose of sunny climes and a great whodunnit!

One of the main characters is a librarian called Zoe, played by British actress Laura Haddock, known for her role in Guardians Of The Galaxy. She travels to Ibiza after learning that the body of her long-disappeared brother Axel has been found.
Tom Rhys Harris
Tom Rhys Harris plays Zoe’s late brother Axel who worked as a DJ on Ibiza 20 years ago before mysteriously disappearing. After his body is discovered Zoe is determined to find out what happened.
Daniel Mays
Axel is seen in flash backs with characters such as Marcus Ward, another DJ, played by British actor Daniel Mays – who had a part in WWI movie 1917.
Marta Milans
The Spanish actress plays Kika Calafat, Axel’s former girlfriend and the heiress of the Calafat family.
Angela Griffin
Well-known British soap star Angela Griffin also stars in White Lines as Marcus’ ex-wife Anna.
Laurence Fox
Laurence Fox plays spiritualist David, one of the original group of friends who arrived together on the island 20 years ago.
Ibiza
Another main character of the show is Ibiza itself – from its gorgeous beaches to its hedonic nightlife.
Second series?
Daniel Mays spoke to UK paper Metro about the show recently, saying “It’s kind of none of it’s been properly resolved. I don’t wanna give away too much but, yeah I’m just pitching for a second series.”
Binge-worthy
With all the components of a binge-worthy fest – from its whodunnit plot twists, 90s rave music and romantic complications – this is already lining up to be a massive hit for Netflix.
