British singer Adele has been in the public eye since 2007 with her incredibly successful debut album 19. Since then she has gone on to even more spectacular success in her career, and has had major ups and downs in her personal life, getting married, welcoming a baby and then splitting from husband Simon Kinecki. Since 2018 the singer has been staying under the radar, with rumors circulating almost constantly that she is working on a fourth studio album. So that’s why followers were absolutely thrilled to see the artist return to the public eye as she thanked fans for their birthday greetings. However, the change in her looks also drew some surprise attention.
The always gorgeous Hello singer sported a black minidress with statement sleeves in the shot, wearing her hair down loose to her shoulders. Next to the photo she wrote: “Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels. 2020 okay bye thanks x.”
Still, as some praised the star’s dramatic weight loss, other fans of Adele, who has spoken out about body image , weren’t happy with the body-conscious emphasis followers put on the Grammy winning artist’s shape. “Stop acting like Adele suddenly had a glow up, she’s always been a baddie,” wrote one Twitter user.
Many are wondering – what is behind Adele’s weight loss? Personal trainer Camila Goodis, who has worked with the star in the past, revealed on the British TV show Lorraine that the Rolling In The Deep singer has “changed her lifestyle and diet” and had likely given up processed food, carbonated drinks and sugar. It is now thought the singer is training with Dalton Wong, who has worked with Adele’s friend Jennifer Lawrence.
