- After Broadway star Nick Cordero had his leg amputated due to complications from coronavirus, he hit another challenge when a lung infection went into his blood, his wife Amanda Kloots explained on Tuesday. In an Instagram Story, Amanda revealed the actor went into “a little bit of septic shock” and needed further treatment and antibiotics. But the Rock of Ages star, father to 10-month-old son Elvis, is fighting back. “He’s back to feeling better,” she noted, later adding: “We kind of just wait and see. He’s throwing us for some loops, that’s for sure, but I’m happy that he is feeling good now, and stable and the fever’s under control.”

- Hidden Figures star Octavia Spencer is doing her part to help fight coronavirus with a big donation: respiratory monitors for nursing and medical centers. “I, like many of you, have felt helpless in knowing how to help during this time,” the star explained in a post on social media. “Seeing what is happening in the communities that I love, I have teamed up with @Mikucare to donate monitors to nursing and medical facilities in Alabama and New York to provide much needed relief to nurses as they navigate care for COVID-19 patients... I hope we can all find ways – small and large – to give back to our neighbors, family, and those on the frontlines.”
