We often look to celebrities whether that’s on the big or small screens or with their music to lift us up. As we continue in these uncertain and worrisome times due to coronavirus, they are still entertaining us from the comforts of their homes through their social media accounts. And while using their accounts and access for fun is great, celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Harry Styles, Cardi B and Jessica Alba and countless others are using their status and platforms to reach millions of fans and followers and raise awareness for charities in need.

The Vivir Mi Vida singer’s foundation, Maestro Cares, partnered up with Colombia’s Food Bank to donate more than 1,500 groceries to families affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The McConaugheys are alright, alright, alright in our book. The couple has teamed up with Bethenny Frankel’s BStrong organization. With their donation, they were able to immediately provide approximately 80,000 protective masks to health care workers, firefighters, police officers and others with the equipment they need across Texas, Louisiana and nationwide.

They were able to make several drop offs in person all while remaining the six feet apart and wearing their own protective masks.

The couple also hopped in his pick up truck over Memorial Day weekend to deliver 110,000 masks donated from Lincoln to rural areas in Texas.

For #TacoTuesday, the mom-of-two is partnering with McCormick for #TacosTogether, a virtual Instagram Live event on May 19. The company and the actress have pledged $1 million donation to No Kid Hungry. “I am so honored to be a part of this,” Drew said. “It is one of the most meaningful moments I have been lucky enough to be a part of. I am thankful to McCormick for including me in this abundant generosity.”

Natti Natasha partnered up with the Pedro Martinez Foundation in her native Dominican Republic to help those in her birth city. The singer took to social media to promote the charitable initiative. “I always feel a calling to serve my people. What better than to start this new project with the Pedro Martínez Foundation, of which we are proud, our Pedro and his wife Carolina Marinez, to help the city that saw me born, Santiago De Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. I would like this initiative to encourage citizens to work together during this pandemic, because together we are more @fundacionpedromartinez,” she wrote.

The 16-year-old actress has donated £15,000 ($18,532) to NHS staff on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic. The Stranger Things star divided the money evenly amongst three local hospitals. “I am in awe of every one of them and just wanted to thank those risking their lives - particularly in hospitals on the South coast,” she said. “The area is very dear to me and my family and I cannot wait to visit again soon. Keep up the brilliant work and stay safe. Thank you. You are all amazing.”

Home is where the heart is

J Balvin shared love and food with residents in Medellín. The Colombian superstar partnered with Alcaldía de Medellín to deliver food to over 1,500 homes. Bringing the Colores to the people in the time of need, the packages included colorful letters from the superstar. During the time of crisis, Balvin has been donating food to many residents in need.

Demi Lovato

The I Love Me singer continues to be an advocate for mental health awareness, so her latest initiative should come as no surprise. Demi has helped raise over $2 million to launch The Mental Health Fund to “support organizations who are meeting the increased demand in crisis counseling due to COVID-19. You are not alone. Help is fast, free and available 24/7.”

While we all remain home, athleisure has been the outfit of choice for many, so the Fabletics ambassador’s collection will donate to relief efforts. She wrote on Instagram: “$5 for every item sold will provide crucial gear to frontline workers, pledging up to $125,000 now through June 30 supporting the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, powered by the United Nations Foundation.”

The Power actress is teaming up with New York’s Hot 97 radio program and top rated meal prep brand Eat Clean Bro to provide and deliver care packages with 97 meals & protective face shields to hospitals in New York and New Jersey.

There is certainly going to be one less lonely girl or several out there thanks to the singer joining the All in Challange. Hailey’s husband has offered his talent in the auction where you can bid to have him perform the hit song for you and friends.

In addition to Justin, other stars participating are Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro as well as Tom Brady . For the movie stars, they invite fans to enter for a chance to have a walk on role in their upcoming Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon and to attend the premiere. Tom is bidding an all-in-experience during his first game as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer.

All of the proceeds will go toward America’s Food Fund, which benefits Feeding America and World Central Kitchen, along with No Kid Hungry and Meals on Wheels.

A week after her initial $5 million donation through her Clara Lionel Foundation, the Take a Bow singer is giving an additional $1 million in grants toward COVID-19 response efforts. This donation is going to be equally matched by Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation and will support undocumented workers, the children of frontline health workers and first responders and incarcerated, elderly and homeless populations in New York City and Los Angeles.

The talented New Yorker is using her voice for good and one epic at-home concert. The A Star is Born actress has helped raise over $35 million for the World Health Organization by organizing the One World: Together at Home virtual music festival that will air on April 18 on all major networks and is produced by Global Citizen.

The singer’s beauty line Haus Labs also announced on March 16 that it would donate 20% of the site sales from the week to the Los Angeles Food Bank and Food Bank for New York City “in order to get food to those affected by the closing of schools and other places that offer this critical resource.”

The In the Heights actress is keeping her family and loved ones who have small businesses in mind as we continue to navigate the pandemic. To honor them, she teamed up with Lemonade Stand NY to create a t-shirt with the saying Closed for Good that will have its proceeds go to these companies affected.

Each of these has received $250,000. The international couple has also sent $300,000 to three organizations including the National Health Service in the UK, the Lombardo, Italy region and the Lebanese Food Bank.

The Twitter CEO announced his big donation of $1 billion on, well, his app, and it’s a Tweet you didn’t want to miss. “I’m moving $1B of my Square equity (~28% of my wealth) to #startsmall LLC to fund global COVID-19 relief. After we disarm this pandemic, the focus will shift to girl’s health and education, and UBI,” he wrote. “It will operate transparently, all flows tracked here. Why now? The needs are increasingly urgent, and I want to see the impact in my lifetime. I hope this inspires others to do something similar. Life is too short, so let’s do everything we can today to help people now.”

It was also announced that he is teaming up with Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation to co-fund a grant of $4.2 million to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles to help domestic violence victims during this time.

Never one to shy away from lending a helping hand, Oprah has joined Leonardo DiCaprio in donating to America’s Food Fund. “I was struck by the work these organizations are doing and while everyone’s priority right now is to stay safer at home, I know there are many of us looking for ways to help. I believe that America’s Food Fund will be a powerful way to make a difference for our neighbors in need and am committing $1 million to this fund to support those facing food insecurity,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am donating $10 million overall to help Americans during this pandemic in cities across the country and in areas where I grew up.”

The rapper is teaming up with Fashion Nova will be giving away $1,000 per hour over the next 42 days to people affected by COVID-19. “Many of you are struggling to pay bills, feed your families, and take care of your overall essential needs,” the Hustlers acress wrote on Instagram. “#FashionNovaCARES & I are giving away $1,000 EVERY HOUR until we’ve given away $1 MILLION DOLLARS to those directly affected by this crisis.”

Earlier in the pandemic, her post about coronavirus turned into a meme and went viral, the rapper and DJ iMarkkeyz’s remix hit the top of the iTune charts. Instead of keeping the royalties, once she receives the money, Kulture’s mom revealed they will be donating to families in need.

The REFORM Alliance, founded by the two rappers, has donated 130,000 surgical masks to several correctional facilities to aid inmates, correctional officers and health care workers during this crisis in New York, Tennessee, Mississippi and South Carolina.

The 11:11 singer is continuing to support the families of the 170 dreamers in Antioquia,Colombia through this COVID-19 crisis through his El arte de los sueños foundation. The donations will enable the local hospital to have the supplies necessary to combat this pandemic.

The Tusa singer is supporting her home country by assisting more than 600 families in Colombia. With the support of organizations, she paid the rents of some households, donated food, diapers, and basic necessities to homes that haven't been able to go out to work because of quarantine.

Taylor Swift

After The Man singer urged her fans to donate to organizations like Feeding America, one fan Samantha sadly said she wanted to but couldn’t afford it since she lost her job at Disney World due to the pandemic. Another fan, who is a music photographer and graphic designer in NYC, had tweeted she was nervous she wouldn’t be able to afford living in her current place.

To both of their surprise, Taylor reached out and sent them both $3,000 from her Taylor Nation LLC.

The Nashville native also has helped out local record store Grimey’s New & Preloved Music. “Taylor generously offered some direct relief to my staff and to cover three months of our health care costs for our group-insurance plan,” co-owner Doyle Davis told Rolling Stone. “It’s a huge deal to us, and now I have some peace of mind as we apply for [Small Business Association] loans to pay rent, vendors, and other expenses. This assistance from Ms. Swift helps give us a real shot at coming back on the other side of this.”

The 74-year-old superstar is donating $1 million to help the research needed in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. “My longtime friend Dr. Naji Abumrad, who’s been involved in research at Vanderbilt for many years, informed me that they were making some exciting advancements towards research of the coronavirus for a cure,” she tweeted. “I am making a donation of $1 million to Vanderbilt towards that research and to encourage people that can afford it to make donations.”

The New York state residents are also joining the fight to make sure that no one goes hungry. The Deadpool star shared on Instagram, “Covid-19 has brutally impacted older adults and low income families. Blake and I are donating $1 million to be split between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.”

It was also revealed that the couple is helping out local NYC hospitals with a total of $400,000 being divided by the four hard hit institutes.

The charitable celeb is at it again with pledging $1 million for No Kid Hungry, which aims to end childhood hunger in the US. “As of this week, over a billion children are out of school worldwide because of closures linked to coronavirus,” the mom-of-six explained. “Many children depend on the care and nutrition they receive during school hours, including nearly 22 million children in America who rely on food support. No Kid Hungry is making resolute efforts to reach as many of those children as possible.”

The Youth singer is making sure kids are getting the necessary resources to combat coronavirus. The Canadian has donated $175,000 to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. The money will be used for emergency medical resources.

Stormi’s mom has made a big donation to L.A. area hospitals. Her doctor, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, announced on her Instagram that the beauty mogul donated $1 million. “I made a wish to the Universe to gather protective masks for our brave healthcare workers and today my dream came true,” she wrote. “One of my patients, a beautiful Living Angel just donated $1,000,000 to help us buy hundreds of thousands of masks, face shields, and other protective gear which we will have delivered directly to our first responders, as too many masks at hospitals are disappearing before making their way onto the faces of our front line heroes.”

Similar to Taylor, the Thank You, Next singer is taking names and sending checks. In addition to encouraging her followers to donate to Feeding America and World Health Organization, TMZ reports that she is also sending money to her fans impacted by COVID-19.

According to their source, Ariana has "been communicating on the regular with her fans on social media, who've opened up about financial struggles, like not being able to pay upcoming bills, because they've lost their retail or service industry jobs for the time being."

She’s been sending a range from $500 to $1,500 to multiple people.

The Terminator actor is helping save the day by donating $1 million toward medical supplies. The former California governor also created a GoFundMe page for frontline responders with the hopes of raising $5 million for Flexport.org.

The SKIMS founder announced that 20% of profit from the cotton collection restock will go to Baby2Baby’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Program. That is why the former VS Angel (though we still consider her one) has partnered with Kids Helping Kids Succeed to ensure they are being fed. The non-profit, which started as a toy drive and resource for school supplies for underprivileged children, has quickly pivoted to a weekly food delivery service for over 30 families during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Frozen 2 star along with her husband Dax Shepard have donated $150,007.96 (their donation of $150,000 plus what was in their kids’ piggy banks) to No Kid Hungry, which fights to end child hunger and poverty. Their donation will help offset cost and ensure children who are out of school don’t miss a meal.

The Hollywood producer/actress is keeping single mothers in her mind during these times when the coronavirus isn’t just affecting people’s health but also their livelihood. The Girls star took to Twitter and wrote: “We’re all scared, but imagine riding solo with a child, when you’re already facing specific prejudices that come with being an unmarried woman with a kid?” To help them, she is matching $10,000 worth of donations to The Alignment Chapter.
