Joaquin Phoenix
The Puerto Rican born actor took home the big prize for best performance by an actor in a motion picture for his role in Joker at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The star thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for serving vegan food.
Rita Moreno
She’s a veteran and a PEGOT! Rita took home for Best Supporting Actress for her role in West Side Story in 1961. Long live Anita!
Guillermo del Toro
The Mexican director took home the award for Best Director for a Motion Picture in 2018 for his film The Shape of Water
Benicio del Toro
In 2000, the Puerto Rican superstar took home the award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Traffic
America Ferrera
In 2007, America took home the Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Series award for Ugly Betty. On top of that, the Honduran superstar gave an unforgettable speech.
Gina Rodriguez
The Jane the Virgin star won in the Best Actress in a Television Series of Comedy in 2015. Gina played the lead on the show until it wrapped in 2019

Disney Pixar’s Coco
In 2017, director Lee Unkrich accepted the award for the film, which pays tribute to Mexican heritage. The movie won the award for Best Animated Feature Film

The Cuban actor won Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Godfather III.
