For Latina Equal Pay Day, these phenomenal women took a stand

The mom-of-three took to her platform to share the honest truth about where Latinas stand vs. non-Hispanic, white men when it comes to wages. After sharing her Latina Power shirt, the actress posted facts in the slides that followed. One highlighted that by the year 2060, 27% of the women in the US will be Latina.

The Superstore actress had a furry friend help promote the message that Latinas deserve equal pay. "We're fire, and we know it," she posted.

The BESE founder shared a closeup to acknowledge Latina Equal Pay Day. With the photo the Avengers actress wrote: "It's not quite a cause for celebration, but November 20 is #LatinaEqualPayDay, which marks the point in 2019 at which the average Latina's wages at last equal what a white man earned in 2018. For women overall, it takes about 16 months to make what a white man makes in 12. But for Latina women—whose "Equal Pay Day" is the last observed of the year—that number is much higher. It takes nearly 23 months to even out, with Latina's typically earning only 54 cents for every dollar a man makes."

The Doom Patrol actress posed for friend Lelund Durond in the Latina Power shirt while sharing the 'tea.' She wrote: "Today is #LatinaEqualPay Day, when Latinas "catch up" to what white, non-hispanic men were paid in 2018. The gap is widest for Latina workers, who on average earn only 54 cents for every $1 a man is paid. Meaning, they must work nearly two years to earn what white men earn in one year. This is unacceptable, and we need to act now. Latinas are powerful, and we deserve equal pay! @phenomenal tee benefits @mujerxsrising, which protects the rights of migrant women."

The Orange is the New Black actress showed off her Latina Power t-shirt made by Jen Zeano for the Phenomenal Women Action Campaign.

The activist has long been a proponent of equal pay and representation in Hollywood so it was only natural that Santi's mom used her platform to promote Latina Power.

From the Central Ave. studio, the Dominican-American host took a break from taping her new show to emphasize the message that needs to be changed: "The gap is widest for Latina workers, who on average earn only 54 cents for every $1 a man is paid."

The Vida actress is among the women who hope to see change in her lifetime. In addition to adding the facts, she concluded her post with, "Be vocal and fight for what you deserve mujer!"

The Diary of a Female President actress matched her red lips with her Latina Power t-shirt, which was created to showcase Latinas power.

She fought for her life in Terminator: Dark Fate, and now the Colombian actress is standing up for equal pay.

The Venezuelan TV host posed the question to her followers: "What makes you a powerful Latina?"

On My Block's Jessica Marie Garcia took a stand and raised awareness to the day where Latinas "catch up" to a white, non-hispanic man's salary.

La Jefa beamed with pride as she posed on Latina Equal Pay Day. The One Day at a Time showrunner supported Monica Ramirez's Justice for Migrant Women by purchasing the shirt.

Better late than never. The Riverdale actress waited for her special delivery of the Latina Power shirt and posted as soon as it was received.
