Eugenio Derbez reveals the secrets behind his first 'nude'scene in a movie

The actor revealed that all his efforts to look good on the screen were in vain...

Eugenio Derbez is enjoying the success of Dora and the Lost City of Gold. The movie, released a few weeks ago, includes a surprise that might shock the Derbez´s fans, especially bearing in mind this is a family movie!. As the comedian revealed during an interview for TV show Ventaneando, he had to do a tricky scene in the movie:.a nude scene! “It’s a full [nude] of me in that movie, yes,” he confirmed.

With his usual sense of humor, Eugenio Derbez recalled how he found out about it and how he prepared to look physically good on the screen: “I read on the script that there was a scene where I take off my clothes and I run naked. So I went on a diet and went to the gym for weeks and weeks and weeks,” the actor confessed.

Eugenio Derbez revealed that he had to do a ‘nude’ in the family movie

Unfortunately, Eugenio´s efforts were in as when the moment came to film that scene and and he was so ready to expose himself au naturel, he found out that all would be done in a digital way. “So the day came when I needed to film that scene, the last day, and that’s when I found out. I told the director: ‘Hey, how is the scene where I take my clothes off going to be?’ The director carelessly replied: ‘Oh, no, that scene will be an animation one.’ ‘Why didn’t you tell me? I have spent four an half months on a diet and going to the gym!” he said laughing.

The actor seized the opportunity to calm down his fans and promise that there is nothing to be worried about, they can take their kids to see the movie! “It’s an animation [nude], so don’t be scared. Ladies, gentlemen, don’t be afraid. If you want to laugh at me, go and laugh at me,” he concluded.
