Thursday, April 25 is the big night! The 2019 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The gala, which recognizes the most outstanding Latin musical artists of the year, will be attended by many big names who will wow viewers with their performances and acceptance speeches. Among them is Marc Anthony, who is hoping to take home an award in the category for Tropical Artist of the Year; he will also perform during the ceremony.

Sebastián Yatra will also take to the stage

Colombian artist Sebastián Yatra has also confirmed he’ll be performing some of his greatest hits at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Sebastián has been put forward in the categories Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Soloist, and Pop Album of the Year for Mantra.

Will it be Shakira's big night?

Colombian superstar Shakira might become the woman with the most Billboard Latin Music Awards of 2019, after scoring four nominations.

She is being considered in the categories of Latin Pop Artist of the Year Soloist, Tour of the Year, Top Latin Artist of the Year Female and Latin Pop Song of the Year for her collaboration with Maluma - the hit song Clandestino.

J Balvin is up for 13 gongs

Colombian singer J Balvin has an impressive total of 13 Billboard Latin Music Awards nominations, setting him up to be one of the grand favorites of the night. He could take home awards for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Hot Latin Song of the Year, Top Latin Album of the Year, Latin Rhythm Album of the Year, among others.

Maluma  will also be attending the gala, and is already nominated for Latin Rhythm Male Artist of the Year, Latin Pop Song of the Year for his collaboration with Shakira Clandestino, and Male Artist Top Latin Album of the year.

All eyes on Jennifer Lopez

Although she's not the most nominated aritst - after being put forward in two categories, Jennifer Lopez will most certainly be tha atendee who garners the most column inches. The music world will be watching to see what eye-catching outfit she'll rock on the night - and if she will bring new fiancé Alex Rodriguez as her date. 

13 is the number for Nicky Jam too!

Boston native Nicky Jam has the same amount of nominations as J Balvin. Among his slew of possible wins, he is being considered for Airplay Song of the Year, Hot Latin Song of the Year, Hot Latin Vocal Collaboration of the Year. Also for Streaming Song of the Year, Digital Song of the Year and Tropical Song of the Year.

Will Ozuna be the big winner?

The Puerto Rican singer is predicted to be the big star of the Billboard Latin Music Awards for his epic number of 23 nominations in 15 different categories.

His nods include Artist of the Year; Song of the Year, Airplay; Hot Latin Song of the Year; Top Latin Album of the Year; Latin Pop Song of the Year, among others. Ozuna will also be one of the artists in charge of spicing up the ceremony with some of his performances.

 Will the spotlight fall on Karol G?

The category New Artist of the Year will surely give us lots to talk about in this edition of the Billboard Latin Music Awards for having singers like Anuel AA, Natti Natasha, Raymix and Karol G.

The Colombian beauty is also up for Female Artist of the Year, and Top Female Latin Album Artist of the Year.

Romeo Santos bringing extra flavor on the night

As well as being nominated in categories including Tropical Song of the Year, Tropical Artist of the Year, Solo, Tour of the Year, Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Male and Song of the Year, Streaming, Romeo Santos will also be regaling the audience with his hits.

El Farsante and Sobedosis, his collaborations with Ozuna, will no doubt be part of his set list.

8 Nominations for Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee will no doubt be hoping to repeat the success he enjoyed at last year's Billboard Latin Music Awards. This year he has eight nominations and he'll also be taking to the stage to entertain viewers and atendees.

He'll be vying for success in categories including Aritst of the Year, Song of the Year, Digital Song of the Year and Airplay Song of the Year.

Becky G set to perform

As well as the artists already mentioned, those bringing their hits on the night and performing will include Becky G, Puerto Rican talents Anuel AA and Wisin, and Karol G and Anitta. also stepping on stage will be groups CNCO, Reik and Banda MS.

Carlos Vives part of the all-star lineup

Colombian legend Carlos Vives - who also has snapped up a handful of nominations - will be singing on the big night. the Santa Marta native has been shortlisted in the categories Tropical Song of the Year and Tropical Artist of the Year, Solo. He's expected to get audiences dancing to the rhythm of his hit Hoy Tengo Tiempo.

Bad Bunny, 12 nominations

Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny could be on course for the best night of his career, with chance of success in 12 categories. He'll be hoping to take home trophies for the following - among others - Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Airplay, Hot Latin Song of the Year. He'll also perform during the gala.

Other nominees

Othet stars hoping to win accolades during the ceremony include Natti Natasha, Cardi B, Anitta, Reik, DJ Snake, Mon Laferte, Anuel AA and Aventura.
